Sewing with Stretch

An easy to wear mock wrap dress. 

This will introduce you to how to read a commercial pattern. How to trace your size (which allows you to keep your pattern intact and used again for other sizes). Cutting out of fabric and garment construction. How to use interfacing and how to sew stretch fabric. 

Once you have made one you can make more! (and more and more and more...... but perhaps that's just me?!)

What to bring: Pattern New Look 6301 in your size range
Fabric:  Stretch knit fabrics ( I can suggest online retailers I have used in the past). Elastic and hemming tape. 

Please check the back of the pattern envelope for fabric requirements. If uncertain call me for further advice. 

Thread to match fabric.

Extra fabric may be needed to match design or for shrinkage. I also recommend pre-washing the fabric.

Body measurements required: Waist, hips, nape to back, waist to knee, upper arm. For help with measurements click here.
