Hoodie 3 weeks

£ 65.00

This will introduce you to how to read a commercial pattern. How to trace the size you want (which allows you to keep your pattern intact and can therefore be used again for other sizes). Cutting out of fabric and garment construction.

Once you have made one you can make more! You are only held back by time and creativity!

When: Three lessons 1 1/2 hour each. Contact me to arrange a suitable time

What to bring: A Hoodie pattern in your size range. I'd suggest Stella by Tilly and the Buttons as an easy beginner pattern.

Main fabric - 1.6m (1 ¾ yard) x 150cm (60in) wide OR 2.4m (2 5⁄8 yard) x 115cm (45in) wide
Hood lining - 0.6m (5⁄8 yard) x 150cm (60in) wide or 115cm (45in) wide
Kangaroo pocket - 0.25m (1/4 yard) extra

Fabric suggestions: Sweatshirt fleece ,French Terry, double knit or medium weight jersey.

You'll also need 1.4m (1 ½ yard) of cord, jersey yarn or flat cotton tape for the drawstring Thread to match. Extra fabric may be needed to match design/pattern of fabric or for shrinkage.

Ribbing if you wish to add cuffs.

NOTE: The picture is of a fully lined version I have made for myself; the classes will be making an unlined version. If you wish to make a lined version contact me for further details.

* I always recommend pre-washing and ironing your fabric prior to use.
