I will NOT be running a Sewing Bee for those who want to come and make items for Australian wildlife rehabilitation.

Australian wildlife rescuers have requested we send no more items to Australia as their needs have been met. I am looking into the needs of any local wildlife rescue centers. If not we'll be making dresses for Dress a Girl Around the World.

31 January 2-7pm

come and make a dress (or shorts) for charity

24 DRESSES AND  6 Pairs Of SHORTS.... SO FAR..

BY POPULAR Demand - we are doing it again!!!!!

WHERE: Sew Many Things Dorset - Furzebrook Studio
WHEN:    24 February 2-7pm

                        25 March 2-7pm

Come for the duration or pop in when you can.

Come as you are!

We will spend the day making dresses and shorts for this worthwhile charity. I have made almost 400 dresses for them over the years and have had them turn up all over the world, Kenya, Gambia and Peru to mention a few (see that almost rhymed!).

I have the patterns and the fabric and can show you how to sew it all together. This project is perfect for beginners as well as accomplished seamstresses.  If you are still not convinced that you can sew but want to help please still come and help with cutting out, ironing and threading of ribbons. The more the merrier!

I have received lots of lovely fabric for us to use. If you have any cotton /  herringbone tape that we can use for neck ties, waist ties that would be most useful. Unfortunately we can't use ribbon it's not sturdy enough.  More guidelines can be found here

A suggested donation of £ 5 towards postage, refreshments etc.
