come and make a dress (or shorts) for charity

WHERE: Sew Many Things Dorset - Furzebrook Studio
WHEN: 16 September 2019  Between 14.00 -19.00 Come for the duration or pop in when you can.

Come as you are!

We will spend the day making dresses and shorts for this worthwhile charity. I have made almost 400 dresses for them over the years and have had them turn up all over the world, Kenya, Gambia and Peru to mention a few (see that almost rhymed!).

I have the patterns and the fabric and can show you how to sew it all together. This project is perfect for beginners as well as accomplished seamstresses.  If you are still not convinced that you can sew but want to help please still come and help with cutting out, ironing and threading of ribbons. The more the merrier!

Donations of cotton fabric are always appreciated. The cotton needs to be of a good enough quality that it is not see through, old duvet covers are often a great way to source fabric. Nothing with any army, war connections or inappropriate prints.  More guidelines can be found here
